Veteran Benefits

Sheridan College is proud and grateful to partner with the Marna M. Kuehne Foundation to support military and veterans in attaining their education goals.  The Kuehne Foundation is the primary funding source for the Veteran Services Office.

  • For honorably discharged, disabled veterans attending Sheridan College
  • Proof of service connected disability
  • Preference given to Wyoming residents from Sheridan, Johnson, Campbell, Crook, and Weston counties
  • Apply online from your NWCCD Hub student account
  • For Veterans attending Sheridan College with an Honorable Discharge or General Under Honorable Discharge
  • Available for veterans that no longer qualify for VA educational benefits
  • Apply online from your NWCCD Hub student account
  • For Veterans attending Sheridan College
  • Audio Recorders, Audio Recording Pens, Tablets, Laptops, and Graphing Calculators available in limited quantities
  • Apply in person at Veteran Services Office
  • For honorably discharged veterans attending Sheridan College
  • Allows students to place children in approved day care to attend classes
  • Supplements any other daycare aid a student receives
  • Live in a veteran community in housing dedicated to military and veterans
  • Supplements the cost of housing and food

Department of Veterans Affairs

  • Serve at least 90 days active duty
  • 36 months of benefits
  • Pays tuition/fees, monthly housing allowance, and book/supplies stipend
  • Only covers in-state tuition and fees
    • Veterans and dependents within three years of discharge receive in-state tuition
  • Expires 15 years from last discharge or separation
  • Can be transferred to dependents prior to separation
  • Provides educational and vocational training for veterans with a service-connected disability
  • Pays tuition/fees, monthly housing allowance, and book/supplies stipend

Wyoming Veteran Benefits

  • Provides 100% tuition and mandatory fees, does not include course, lab, or internet fees
  • Agree to 6-year term or completed 6 years
  • Agree to 2 years after last using tuition assistance
  • Can only be used for one degree program, includes Associates to Bachelors
  • Maintain 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Provides 8 semesters of tuition to those with an honorable discharge, Wyoming as Home of Record, and qualifying service medal
