Sheridan College is making higher education more accessible with the launch of its innovative Bighorn Mountain Advantage program. Starting in the Fall 2025 semester, this groundbreaking initiative will allow all students, regardless of their state of residency, to pay in-state tuition rates at Sheridan College.
Key Features of the Bighorn Mountain Advantage:
Continuation of the tuition waiver throughout a student’s entire academic career at Sheridan College
Automatic qualification for all out-of-state students upon application and acceptance
Significant cost savings for non-Wyoming residents
Sheridan College President, Dr. Walt Tribley emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Cost continues to be a barrier for many, and this waiver will go a long ways toward helping students.”
In addition to the tuition advantage, out-of-state students will have access to smaller class sizes, individualized attention and direction from faculty and staff, networking and internship opportunities, state-of-the-art facilities, campus and community events, and outdoor adventures they may not otherwise have experienced. “By removing financial barriers for out-of-state students, Sheridan College is not only investing in the future of its institution but also in the long-term economic growth of the region. This innovative approach to tuition pricing demonstrates our College’s commitment to making quality higher education accessible to a broader range of students while simultaneously strengthening the local economy by recruiting future workforce,” said Dr. Tribley.
