Computer Science Pathway for Teachers
Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD) is now offering a Computer Science Pathway for teachers available all online. This 16-credit program has been approved by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board as one pathway for educators seeking the new Computer Science endorsement. Educators must apply to PTSB to have the new endorsement added to their licenses.
This program can be completed in 3-5 semesters by taking 1 or 2 classes per semester. Start in Fall or Spring semester.
4 Required Courses – These courses are offered every semester.
- Web Authoring (HTML & CSS)
- Intro to Computer Science (JavaScript)
- Intro to SQL (Databases)
- Web Programming I (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
Plus Choose 1 from these Electives:
- Computer Science I (C++)
- Scripting Languages (Python, PHP, and Bash)
- Web Programming II (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
- Ed Tech Theory and Application
