Sheridan College in Johnson County (SCJC) offers a host of in-person, online, and hybrid courses that can get you started on your path to a degree in Health Sciences, Business or General Studies, or a certificate, as well as personal enrichment and community interest classes.
SCJC is located in the Bomber Mountain Civic Center in beautiful downtown Buffalo, Wyoming, at the base of the Bighorn Mountains.

Yoga flow emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. This course is designed to give students an opportunity to enhance their personal wellness through the participation in moderate to vigorous physical activity. This course is designed to complement and enhance biomechanics by focusing on balance, flexibility, and strength. The course will give an overview of different styles of Yoga, its history, and purpose. The postures (asanas), breath and correct body mechanics for each posture will be addressed, along with contraindications and modification for limitations.

Fly Rod Building allows students to learn about fly fishing, types of fishing rods. Students will also learn how to assess rod quality and performance as they learn to assemble and make their own fly-fishing rod.

Learning the basic skills for drawing and sketching will give you confidence to tackle any drawing project. We with cover the highlights of perspective, drawing from observation, value, mark making, negative space, composition, and a little bit of cartooning. This is a hands-on course that is taught with encouragement through fun exercises, targeted projects, and examples from art history.

This introductory course is designed for students regarding the fundamentals of fly fishing. Participants will get an overview on topics including gear selection, basic entomology, fly selection, proper knots, casting, and much more. If you have ever thought of trying this amazing sport, this class will shorten the learning curve and help you to have success on the water

Wanting to take that perfect picture? Then this is your course. In this class you will learning how to work that digital camera, take the right picture, and then crop, edit, and even print those images. This class is both for beginners and seasoned photographers. This is an introductory still photography class dealing with the basics of digital photography. Students will learn basic camera anatomy and functions, along with lighting and flash techniques. Specific areas such as file formats, image editing programs, printers and electronic format output will be covered. Lectures may introduce the work of noted photographers, the evolution of aesthetics and theory associated with the history of the medium and examine the impact that the photographic image exerts in historical and contemporary culture.
