Sheridan College Innovation Center

Sheridan College’s most recent building renovation and expansion, the Sheridan College Innovation Center, was finished in the fall of 2024. The space will support students and community members who are pursuing career opportunities in manufacturing or construction trades and also includes the new Manufacturing Incubator.

A growing need for highly trained and skilled workers in these trades created the concept for this project and has turned it into a multi-use facility that can provide the education and training needed for those in various trades to be successful in their careers.

This newly upgraded 28,000 sq. ft. space is filled with a variety of training labs and equipment, designed to provide hands-on skills development that combines industry standards, classroom instruction, and real-life lessons. Cutting-edge design elements will consider the needs of each creator and work through “proof of concept” stages, taking an initial idea through necessary steps to create a feasible, tangible result.

Manufacturing Incubator

This new feature at Sheridan College is a type of manufacturing incubator that specializes in supporting individuals and startup companies in the manufacturing sector. The unique, creative space is specially designed to provide affordable operational areas, industry-specific equipment, technical expertise, and a supportive ecosystem tailored to their unique needs for the production, assembly, or light industrial operations. This concentrated manufacturing assistance under one roof will allow these individuals and/or companies to launch their startups, projects, or operations more efficiently.
