Karla Schmidt

B.S. in Dental Hygiene, University of Minnesota

Karla is a part-time faculty member in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches pre-clinical and clinical dental hygiene to sophomore students. Karla graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental Hygiene Program in 2011. She practiced dental hygiene in North Dakota and Montana for 12 years before relocating to Wyoming in 2023. She maintains dental hygiene licenses in both Montana and Wyoming. Karla enjoys sharing her passion for dental hygiene with eager students pursuing the profession.

When not working, Karla loves spending time with her husband, two daughters, and golden retrievers. She also enjoys running, hiking, camping, and cheering on her kids at their various sporting and musical events.

Karla is a member of both the American and Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.
