Thickman Faculty Lecture Series: Impeachment Then and Now

Thursday, Nov. 7, 6:00 p.m. at Sheridan College in Rm. W153, in the Whitney Academic Center.

With Michael Thomas, adjunct history faculty.

Refreshments will be available after the lecture. There is no cost to attend.

Thomas will discuss why impeachment power is in the U.S. Constitution along with examples of historical and contemporary impeachment.  He will also discuss impeachment in polarized America and its constant threat, and what can be done about it.

At Sheridan College, Thomas teaches History of Wyoming and Wyoming Government.  He has been teaching American Government and social studies in public schools for thirteen years and has his master’s degree in American history from American Public University.  Thomas teaches American Government and social studies at Sheridan High School and coaches the successful Sheridan High School “We the People” debate team.

The Thickman Faculty Lecture Series is hosted by the Sheridan College Foundation and is funded by the Thickman Lecture Endowment.
