Kristine Mantey serves Sheridan College as both a Business Faculty Coordinator and as a business faculty member with Sheridan College. She is a finance professional with over twenty years of experience in financial data analysis used in successful decision-making, forecasting, marketing, and risk analysis.

Kristine started her career as a financial analyst with Washington Mutual Bank. Upon advancing to portfolio management, she managed complex asset-backed security portfolios valued at more than $550 million. In 2010, Kristine began using her knowledge and experience to help the next generation of engineering professionals by teaching at the University of Washington in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department. While teaching at the University of Washington, Kristine consulted with businesses in the Puget Sound region, specializing in economic modeling for portfolio management, pricing, risk analysis, staged decision-making, and corporate valuation. In 2018, Kristine began researching the application of systems engineering techniques and processes to social problems. Her work specializes in applying systems thinking to the issue of homelessness and then assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of the changes to homeless assistance programs. She partnered with both local government and non-profit groups in King and Skagit counties in Washington state.

Kristine believes in helping her students master financial metrics and modeling tools that support effective decision-making in real-world situations for a variety of industries.  Kristine currently lives in Sheridan with her husband and daughter. She enjoys wildlife and landscape photography, golfing, and spending time with her family.
