Kennon Products senior design engineer Dakotah Gali and design engineer David Klug will give a lecture called “Kennon Innovation: Engineering and Product Highlights” on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Gali will introduce Kennon Products and the engineering work done there, including past projects, expertise, the team and future projects. He will also highlight their work designing inflatable life preserver units. Klug will share a design engineering project currently in progress, thermal radiation curtains for the KC-46 in-flight refueling tanker. His presentation will include some of the background engineering concepts involved in this product, for example, modes of heat transfer, and the factors that go into designing the curtains, such as material selection, testing and specifications.
Founded in 1984, Kennon Products has been a leading manufacturer of protective covers for aerospace applications. Based in Sheridan, Wyoming, Kennon Products manufactures all of its covers in-house. In addition to the manufacturing team, Kennon employs a talented engineering team that is currently developing next generation life preservers, light-weight anti-ballistic protection and nuclear flash curtains.
