Elizabeth Maguire joined Sheridan College as a part-time faculty in 2020 teaching the CNA course. In the Fall of 2022, Sheridan College added the Medical Assistant Certificate Program in which Elizabeth is also the instructor. Elizabeth’s nursing career has included cardiac ICU, oncology, basic life support, home health and currently is working PRN at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University and taught for 16 years, primarily 6th grade math and science. In 2006, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University. Elizabeth feels very fortunate to be able to combine her love of teaching with her passion for nursing. She enjoys teaching CNA/MA students of all ages as they begin or transition careers into the health care field.
