Amanda Malyurek has taught at Gillette College in the Nursing Program since 2006. Amanda teaches in all semesters of the program, but primarily works with the students in Chronic & Acute semesters. Amanda has held a national certificate as a Certified Nurse Educator since 2010. Her nursing background has been in adult care; working in both acute in-patient facilities and in the home health setting.

Amanda believes her role as a nurse educator is to facilitate learning by providing a variety of active learning strategies in the classroom, lab, and simulation setting. Her learning philosophy is to develop lifelong learners, enhance the personal growth of the learners, and help learners identify their unlimited potential. Amanda believes these virtues can be fostered through education.
