Mary has taught at Sheridan College in the Dental Hygiene Program since the fall of 2018.
Her journey in the dental profession started with a Certificate in Dental Assisting. She then obtained: A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene, B.S. in Community Psychology, and a M.S. in Dental Hygiene. After working for a year at Sheridan College, she attended the University of Wyoming for a Certificate in Community College Leadership.
Her teaching responsibilities at Sheridan College include, but are not limited to, the following: General and Oral Pathology, Pain Management Lecture and Lab, Board Review, Office Practice, and Clinical Instruction. Her philosophy in teaching focuses on student centered learning, which enables students to play an active role in their own learning process. She loves to be a role model for students by volunteering her skills as a dental hygienist traveling worldwide to provide dental care to impoverished populations through the non-profit organization.
Mary serves on the Radiographic Standards Committee for the Dental Hygiene Department at Sheridan College and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and the Wyoming Dental Hygienist Association. In addition, she is an advisor for the Sheridan College Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygienist Association.
