Earn Your Art Degree

Do you have a passion for art? Do you picture yourself as a creative director or graphic designer? Sheridan College’s award-winning faculty will help you master the foundational skills you need to pursue a variety of art-related career fields or higher education.

Our art program offers ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, digital photography, digital media, and printmaking.

Certificate in Arts Administration

Arts administration, also called arts management, is a field of study providing graduates with the tools to create, develop, facilitate, and evaluate arts and cultural programs and organizations. Arts management offers a viable and rewarding career path for thousands of people across the globe.

Our arts administration program is the only one in the region. Learn from nationally recognized instructors in a state-of-the-art facility and apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to external experiential learning opportunities.

Certificate in Graphic Design

This certificate in graphic design will provide a strong foundation in high demand graphic design skills, including hands-on experience with software and equipment used in the industry.

Associate Degree in Music

Are you interested in performing on stage, teaching music, or recording as a music technician? Sheridan College’s nationally recognized music degree program features expert faculty and numerous performance opportunities with award-winning ensembles. Earning a music degree from Sheridan College will allow you to transfer into bachelor’s degree programs nationwide or begin your career as a musician.

You can tailor your associate degree program to emphasize either General Music or Music Technology. Our music students gain real-world performing experience on stage in our 422-seat Kinnison Hall, with numerous opportunities provided by our 10+ ensembles.

Certificate in Music Technology

For music lovers, it’s an exciting time to enter the career field of music technology. Sheridan College’s Music Technology Certificate of Completion program features state-of-the-art recording studios and technology, expert faculty, and a hands-on curriculum that prepares you to launch your music career or helps you transfer to advanced music programs nationwide.

Your courses will include Music Technology, Sound Reinforcement, Music Portfolio, Music Fundamentals, Written Theory, Techniques for Live Sound and more. Graduating with your Music Technology Certificate, you will have a clear understanding of MIDI implementation, synthesis, computer-generated notation, and multimedia integration.

Associate of Art in Theater & Dance

Whether you are an aspiring actor or actress, dancer, choreographer, playwright, director, costume designer, makeup artist, lighting designer, or stage manager, Sheridan College can help you reach your goals. You can build your skills and portfolio to start your theater or dance career or to transfer to an institution of advanced study.

The Arts at Sheridan College has world class facilities for musical performance.

The Whitney Center for the Arts features a 422-seat concert hall with variable acoustic banners to adjust the sounds reflection and highlight performances in the hall. The changeable proscenium stage has a motorized fly system and an orchestra pit.

Rotating exhibitions of work from leading artists across the country appear in the Edward A. Whitney Gallery, while student and faculty work rotates through the Neltje Gallery upstairs.

The music programs utilize specifically designed rooms including a large band room, choral room, piano classroom, multiple practice rooms, a recording studio, a music theory classroom, faculty offices, and more.

The Whitney Center for the Arts features a variety of art studios for printmaking, drawing, sculpture, metalwork, and more. Master your craft in a dedicated space for your creativity.

The Arts at Sheridan College serves students in Music, Music Technology, Arts Administration, Theater and Dance, Graphic Design, and Visual Arts. The multi-million dollar Whitney Center for the Arts facility includes cutting edge studios for performing, recording, sculpture, ceramics, painting, and drawing. Additionally, the performance hall and galleries serve up a variety of professional concerts and art exhibitions for students and the community of Sheridan.
